• Served as a team captain
• Set the program record for flag pulls in a game during her collegiate debut
• Set the program’s single-season record for flag pulls, breaking the record she established the previous season
• Named to the Dean’s List
• Made four interceptions over two seasons

• Named Defensive Player of the Year
• Earned first-team all-conference honors
• Three-year varsity team member
• Named Athletic Scholar of the Year

Personal:

• Daughter of Darrel and Julie Matsuyama
• Has two siblings, Jenna and Darrel Jr.
• Grew up playing volleyball and had opportunities to compete collegiately before choosing flag football
• Grew up watching her father coach youth football
• Performs hula
• Chose Parkside because of its diverse, close-knit environment and the opportunity to join the inaugural women’s flag football team
