Cory Stonelake begins his second season with the Rangers as an assistant in 2013-2014, working primarily with hitters and outfielders.
A 2012 UW-Parkside graduate, Stonelake currently serves as the head coach of the Lake County Lightning 14U team in Illinois while serving as a hitting instructor at Bat Speed Academy in Gurnee, Ill.
Stonelake was a two-year starter at UW-Parkside, leading the team in multiple-hit games and batting average in 2012 while also ranking second in doubles, stolen bases and slugging percentage. His senior campaign also included a 12-game hitting streak. Stonelake was a GLVC Academic All-Conference selection in both 2011 and 2012.
Stonelake came to Parkside after stints at both Illinois State University (2010) and Heartland Community College (2007-2009) and graduated in December of 2012.
