RACINE, Wis. — Parkside lost to Northern Mich. 3-0 on Sunday. The match was played at Prichard Park in Racine because of the rain. The Rangers finished with a 14-8 shot advantage but put one attempt on goal in the loss.
The Rangers generated more total shots than Northern Mich., 14-8, including a five-shot stretch in the second half, but finished with one shot on goal.
Three first half goals were the difference, as NMU scored in the 5th, 29th and 36th minutes.
Ava Rizzitano led the Rangers with five shots and put one on goal.
Rebecca DuFour recorded three saves over 45 minutes and did not allow a goal.
The Rangers are now 5-2-1 overall and 3-1-0 in conference play. Northern Mich. is 4-3-1 overall and 1-3-0 in conference play.
