KENOSHA, Wis. — Parkside women's soccer dropped a heartbreaker to nationally-ranked Grand Valley State 2-1 on Sunday at Wood Road Field.
Parkside was outshot 20-11, though the shots-on-goal count was tighter at 8-7.
Lindsey Ferrara finished with six saves as both goalkeepers recorded six stops.
Julia McRae supplied Parkside's scoring moment off a
Kate Brown assist, equalizing the match at 1-1 in the 71st minute.
Grand Valley scored one goal in each half with Vensa Dennison scoring in the eighth minute, while Sarah Fromm netted the game winner in the 90th minute with 20 seconds to go.
Parkside is 5-3-1 overall and 3-2-0 in conference play. Grand Valley St. is 6-1-2 overall and 4-0-1 in conference play.
