Maia Olson block helped make it 6-2. Purdue Northwest immediately got back even at 6-6 behind numerous kills and Parkside attack errors, but kills by Kilbourn and
Emily Zaper helped Parkside move ahead 14-10 and later 16-11. Parkside stretched the lead to 19-12 on a Zaper kill and a Purdue Northwest attack error, then closed the set 25-16 with
Avary Polavin recording kills for the 23rd point and the final point.
Parkside built an early 8-4 lead in the second set, getting kills from Kilbourn and Zaper, a
Lauren Peters ace, and back-to-back aces from Zaper before Purdue Northwest scored the next two points to reach 8-6. From there, Parkside won seven of the next eight rallies, with Olson, Polavin,
Monica Lukasiewicz and Kilbourn contributing kills as the lead grew to 15-7. Purdue Northwest later pulled within 16-11, but Kilbourn's kill made it 17-11, and after the visitors reached 17-12, a service error, a bad set, and
Samantha Molenhouse's ace pushed Parkside to 20-12.
Gracyn Meyer added a kill at 21-13, and after Purdue Northwest reached 21-14, Polavin recorded consecutive kills and Meyer served back-to-back aces to finish the set 25-14.
Parkside traded early points with Purdue Northwest before two Zaper kills helped it move ahead 6-3, and Polavin's kill started a four-point run that stretched the lead to 10-4. Peters' ace put Parkside up 13-6, and after a Purdue Northwest service error, an Olson block and another attack error pushed the score to 16-7, Purdue Northwest worked back to 17-12 behind a Kennedy Rowzee kill, a Parkside setting error and an ace. Parkside answered with three straight points, including a Zaper ace to reach 20-12, and although Purdue Northwest closed to 23-18 on Addison Smith's back-to-back aces, Polavin and Kilbourn finished the set with kills for a 25-18 win.
Parkside is 8-2 overall and 2-1 in GLIAC play. Purdue Northwest is 2-8 overall and 0-3 in GLIAC play.
