KENOSHA, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Parkside men's basketball program has added Matthew Mors as a graduate assistant coach, head coach Kyle Blackbourn announced.

Mors joins the Rangers following a highly accomplished Division I playing career at South Dakota State, where he appeared in 132 games with 80 starts while shooting 47.6 percent from the field.

"We're thrilled to welcome Matt to our staff, said Blackbourn. Matt brings tremendous energy, passion, and experience to our program. After finishing an outstanding playing career, I know he'll transition seamlessly into coaching. Having been part of winning cultures at both South Dakota State University and University of Wisconsin, Matt understands what it takes to succeed at a high level. His experiences, leadership, and competitive mindset make him a perfect fit for what we're building here."

Mors closed his career with two standout seasons as a full-time starter for the Jackrabbits. In 2025-26, he started all 32 games and averaged 8.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 51.2 percent from the field in 27.8 minutes per contest.

He recorded a career-high 23 points against North Dakota and finished the season with eight double-digit scoring performances.

Mors began his collegiate career at Wisconsin, where he redshirted during the 2021-22 season.

In addition to his on-court success, Mors was recognized extensively for his academic achievements.
