KENOSHA, Wis. – Following the conclusion of the 2026 regular season, Parkside secured the No. 5 seed in the GLIAC Tournament and will open postseason play against No. 2 seed Wayne State on Thursday morning.
All tournament games will be held at UWM Field in Utica, Michigan, and will follow a double-elimination format.

Scouting Parkside
Parkside enters the tournament with a 24-23 overall record and a 10-14 mark in GLIAC play. Offensively, the Rangers posted a .280 team batting average, ranking fifth in the conference, while their 6.37 ERA sits fourth in the GLIAC.
Benjamin Loyd led the Rangers at the plate, hitting .369 (eighth in the GLIAC) with 69 hits in 187 at-bats. He recorded 14 doubles, two triples, two home runs, 34 RBIs, and scored 43 runs.
Dylan Sayles added a .329 average with 47 hits in 143 at-bats, totaling five doubles, two triples, two home runs, 25 RBIs, and 36 runs scored.
Joe Mrowiec paced the team with 40 RBIs and a team-high nine home runs, ranking fourth in the GLIAC.
On the mound,
Brennen Miller posted a 3-4 record with 37 strikeouts over 54 innings.
Leo Berger leads the team with three saves while striking out 35 batters in 23.1 innings.
Isaiah Terrell has recorded two saves with 19 strikeouts in 23.2 innings and has held opponents to a .232 batting average.
Against Wayne State this season, Parkside went 1-3, hitting .209 as a team with an 8.16 ERA.
Mason Mitacek led the way offensively, batting .429 in limited action.
Dylan Sayles and
Josh Wicker hit .400 and .300, respectively, while
Nathan Hanel batted .375.
Nathan Ciemny earned the Rangers' lone win in the series, striking out six and holding opponents to a .167 average.
Historically, Parkside is 6-28 against Wayne State.
Scouting Wayne State
No. 14 Wayne State enters the postseason with a 35-12 overall record and a 17-7 mark in conference play. The Warriors rank among the GLIAC's best, hitting .296 as a team (fourth) while posting a 4.04 ERA (second).
Drew Hill leads the conference with a .413 batting average and a 1.199 OPS, totaling 69 hits in 167 at-bats. His stat line includes nine doubles, five triples, nine home runs, 47 RBIs, and 43 runs scored.
Bennett Hitzelberger is another key contributor, batting .344 with 56 hits, including 14 doubles, four triples, and nine home runs. His 1.094 OPS ranks fourth in the GLIAC.
On the mound, Will Lowery holds a 7-1 record with a 3.27 ERA, striking out 50 batters over 63.1 innings while limiting opponents to a .228 average. Keegan Olford-Thorpe has gone 5-1 with 55 strikeouts in 60 innings, and Rocco Cardinals leads the team with six saves.
