KENOSHA, Wis. – The Parkside Rangers return home to Historic Simmons Field for the first time during the 2026 season as they open GLIAC conference play against the Wayne State Warriors. The four-game series begins Friday, March 20, continues with a doubleheader on Saturday, and concludes on Sunday.

Scouting Parkside
The Parkside Rangers enter GLIAC conference play with an 11–5 overall record, returning to the field for the first time since March 9 after several games were canceled. Offensively,
Benjamin Loyd continues to lead the Rangers at the plate, batting .357 through 56 at-bats. Loyd has recorded 20 hits, including two doubles and one home run, while driving in 10 RBIs. Joe Mroweic has also been a key contributor to the Parkside offense, hitting .333 with 13 hits, including two doubles, a triple and three home runs, accounting for 13 RBIs.
On the mound, Brennan Miller has been dominant for the Rangers, picking up a win this past weekend over Upper Iowa. On the season, Miller holds a 2.16 ERA and has recorded 18 strikeouts.
Leo Berger also made a start this past weekend, earning a win. In his five innings of work, Berger struck out nine batters.
Scouting Wayne State
The 16th-ranked Wayne State Warriors come into the weekend series with an impressive 16–2 overall record. Drew Hill paces the offense with a .441 batting average, collecting 26 hits in 59 at-bats, including three doubles, two triples, and four home runs, while driving in 20 RBIs. Bennett Hitzelberger and Rhett Roeser have also been key contributors at the plate, hitting .355 and .340, respectively.
On the mound, Will Lowery leads the pitching staff with a 2.05 ERA and a perfect 4–0 record, holding opponents to a .195 batting average. Gabe Nazelli tops the team with 21 strikeouts, with Gavin Nash close behind at 20.
Parkside split the regular season series with Wayne State last year and holds a 5–25 record all-time against the Warriors.
