KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Rangers hit the road for their first outdoor contests of the 2026 season this weekend, with five games at the Oasis Sports Complex in Marion, Illinois between February 27
th and March 1
st.
ABOUT THE RANGERS
Parkside heads weekend 1-5 overall after their performance in Rosemont last weekend. Back-to-back GLIAC Player of the Year
Mia Johnson picked right back up where she left off, earning GLIAC Player of the Week honors. Johnson hit .611 over the opening weekend with six extra base hits and seven RBI's.
CICI Di Silvio also had a solid offensive weekend, hitting .381 with four extra base hits and six RBI's. She was also perfect in 22 chances at shortstop.
Holly Lowenberg picked up the lone win in the circle for the Rangers. She sports a 2.10 ERA through 13.1 innings of work with 13 strikeouts.
ABOUT MCKENDREE
The Bearcats are 8-4 in 2026 and are coming off a 2-2 weekend where they swept #7 Missouri Southern State 8-4 and 6-3 and got swept by Pittsburg State 10-2 and 6-2. Friday's contest will be the first matchup between the Rangers and Bearcats since they met three times in 2024. McKendree has four starters that are hitting .340 or better this season. The Bearcats have hit 12 homers this season as a team. Ellie Vetter has been rock solid in the circle, posting a 5-1 record with a 2.65 ERA over 37 innings of work.
ABOUT #11 INDIANAPOLIS
UINDY is 10-0 this season and is currently ranked #11 in the latest poll. As a team the Greyhounds are hitting .348 on the season and are averaging 8.7 runs per game. In the circle UIndy sports a 1.65 team ERA on the season and are holding opponents to just a .140 batting average. Caitlin Bunte and Cheyenne Eads are each 5-0 in the circle this season and both sport an ERA below two. The last time Parkside and UIndy matched up was in February of 2023.
ABOUT LINCOLN OF MISSOURI
The Blue Tigers are 2-0 to begin the season after defeating Stephens twice at home on February 15
th. Ann-Marie Simpson went 5-8 with four RBI's over the opening weekend. Hannah Heisler went 3-7 over the two games as well. Abby Pulliam did not allow a run over six innings of work in the season opener. Parkside and Lincoln met up for a double header in Jefferson City last season.
ABOUT KENTUCKY WESLEYAN
The Panthers are 3-7 this season and are coming into the weekend off a 2-4 trip to Huntsville, Alabama ten days ago. Chloe Apple leads the offense, hitting .417 this season with three doubles and seven driven in. The Panthers have only used two pitchers this season, Riley Cunningham ad Kami Parlin who have pitched to an 11.96 ERA so far in 2026. Parkside and Kentucky Wesleyan last met in February of 2024 in Smyrna, Tennessee.
ABOUT MISSOURI – ST. LOUIS
UMSL enters the weekend 4-9 overall and has lost six straight after a tough weekend at Missouri Southern and Pittsburg State. Sunday will be the first of three meetings between the two teams this season. Kiley Sullivan leads the offense with a .400 batting average on the year with four extra base hits and eight runs scored. UMSL pitches to a 6.38 ERA as a team and has had four different pitchers already register double-digit innings this season.

Following the five game weekend the Rangers will return to the road for six games over three days in Missouri against Maryville, Hillsdale and UMSL.
