KENOSHA, Wis. — No. 3 Parkside Wrestling is set to open the 2026-27 season at home on Sunday, Nov. 1, hosting No. 9 Grand Valley State inside De Simone Arena as part of the Wisconsin Showcase. The event will also feature the University of Wisconsin, which will face Cornell College, and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, which will also compete against Cornell College.
The Rangers
Parkside is coming off a historic 12-4 campaign in 2025-26, which included a 7-3 conference record. The Rangers finished fourth in last year's conference standings and earned a national runner-up finish at the 2026 NCAA Championships, where five Rangers earned All-American honors, including returners
Easton Worachek,
Brody Hemauer and
Sullivan Ramos. National qualifier
Cooper Caraway will also return.
The Rangers claimed the Super Region V title for the first time since 2016 and made a statement at the 2026 NWCA National Duals, finishing third and matching a program-best finish that had stood since 1995. They also claimed the 46th Annual Midwest Classic title for the second consecutive season.
Four Rangers earned spots in the latest NWCA individual rankings.
Easton Worachek leads the way at No. 2 nationally at 157 pounds, followed by
Brody Hemauer at No. 3 in the 165-pound weight class.
Sullivan Ramos is ranked No. 2 at 184 pounds, while
Cooper Caraway rounds out the group at No. 3 nationally at 285 pounds.

The Lakers
Grand Valley finished the 2025-26 season with a 9-6 overall record, placing second at NCAA Super Region Three and 12th at the 2026 NCAA Championships. The Lakers had three All-Americans, led by Jack Parker, who finished sixth at 125 pounds. Chris Donathon earned fifth place at 149 pounds, while Carter Blough also earned All-American honors at 285 pounds. Carter Blough is the only returning All-American.
Five Lakers appeared in the latest NWCA individual rankings. Jak Keller leads the group at 141 pounds, earning the No. 12 ranking, while Maclain Morency follows at No. 7 at 157 pounds. Brayden Mirjavadi is ranked No. 8 at 184 pounds, and Bradley Mayse holds the No. 8 spot at 197 pounds. Carter Blough rounds out the group, earning the No. 1 ranking at 285 pounds.

Parkside holds a 2-0 record against Grand Valley State, with its most recent victory coming last season at the NWCA National Duals. The Rangers edged the Lakers 18-15 in the matchup.
