Cedar Falls, Iowa — The No. 3 Parkside Rangers wrestling team closed out day one of the 2026 NWCA National Duals with a 2–0 record, earning wins over RV West Liberty and No. 13 Grand Valley to advance to the semifinals.

The Rangers opened the day with a dual victory over West Liberty, highlighted by nine individual wins. At 125lbs #2
Shane Corrigan won the opening bout in a 9-1 major decision over #13 Logan Davis.
Matthew Chi followed up, with 4-1 sudden victory over #13 James Armstrong at 133lbs , while #1
Jalen Spuhler had a 5-1 decision win over Anthony Wood in the 149lb weight class. At 157lbs, #4
Easton Worachek edged out #8 Nico Taddy in a 4-1 decision, while #6
Brody Hemauer also won in a 6-0 decision at 165lbs over Bodie Morgan. #5
Dajun Johnson won by a 6-5 decision at 174lbs over Carter Winegardner. At 184 lbs, #11
Brady Schuh delivered an impressive performance winning the bout by tech fall 20-4 over Levi Abbott.
Jordan Blanchard took the 197lb matchup after a forfeit and
Cooper Caraway closed out the dual with a 4-2 decision victory over Parker Bentley.

The Rangers edged Grand Valley in their second dual of the day in a tightly contested matchup, with five individual wins leading the team to victory. At 133lbs,
Elon Rodriguez won in a 19-10 major decision over Preston LeFevre.
Jordan Craft secured a victory at 141lbs in a 5-4 decision win over Collin Twigg. #4
Easton Worachek was victories at 157lbs in a sudden victory 4-1 decision win over Maclain Morency. #5
Dajun Johnson upset #1 Josh Kenny at 174lbs, with a 7-5 decision win.
The Rangers will be back in action Saturday morning at 11:00am from the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Parkside will open the day against the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
