KENOSHA, Wis. -- Parkside Athletics is proud to honor the Ranger Hall of Fame Class of 2025, which includes seven individuals and one team. The Class of 2025 will officially be inducted during a ceremony inside DeSimone Arena on Saturday, October 4. Leading up to the event, we will highlight each of this year's inductees, beginning with our lone team selection: the 2009-10 Parkside Wrestling team.
The 2009-10 Rangers cemented themselves as one of the most accomplished squads in program history. That season, Parkside finished fifth at the NCAA Division II National Championships, the second-best finish in school history, while also earning a national ranking as high as fourth in the country.
The team's historic run included a sixth-place finish at the NWCA National Duals and a runner-up finish at the Super Regional, where five Rangers claimed individual titles and seven qualified for the national tournament. Parkside also captured team championships at both the Midwest Classic and the Wheaton Invitational.
On the national stage,
Craig Becker won the 149-pound national championship, Luke Rynish finished as the runner-up at 174 pounds, Matt Gille placed seventh at 165 pounds, and Dillon Bera took eighth at 157 pounds. In total, the Rangers scored 55 team points at nationals, capping off a remarkable season that secures their rightful place in the Parkside Athletics Hall of Fame.
