SCOUTING QUINCY:

Quincy closed 2024 with a 5–9–3 overall mark and 4–7–3 in GLVC action. In their last meeting, Parkside handed the Hawks a 1–0 setback on Sept. 5 of last year, with Eduardo Aguilera-Guillen scoring in the 76th minute to seal the victory. Overall, the Rangers lead the all-time series against the Hawks 10-9 and have not lost to Quincy since Sept. 2, 2018. Under 14th year head coach Mike Carpenter, the Hawks were picked to finish 11th in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) preseason coaches' poll. The Hawks feature a mix of veterans and newcomers, with 25 letterwinners returning while welcoming 12 freshman and eight transfers. The Hawks return leading goal scorer Leo Cann from a year ago who was tabbed to the All-Midwest Region Third Team.

SCOUTING LEWIS:

After starting 0-1-5 last season, Lewis capped a strong 2024 at 11–3–8 overall, going 9–1–4 in GLVC play. The Flyers parlayed that record into both regular season and conference tournament championships. Under reigning GLVC Coach of the Year Evan Fiffles, set for his 33rd seaon at the helm, Lewis was picked to repeat as GLVC champions in the preseason coaches' poll, receiving seven first place votes. Senior defenseman Nicholas Rogalski returns to Lewis after being named GLVC First Team, CCA All-Midwest Region Second Team, and United Soccer Coach's All-Midwest Region Third Team last year. Also back for the red and white is Makonnen Stampley, who finished the regular season leading the Flyers in points with six goals and two assists and scored the game-winning penalty kick in the GLVC Tournament Championship against Maryville. Against the Flyers all-time, the Rangers are 5-8-3 and come off a 1-1 draw in 2024. However, the Rangers have won two of the last four matches they've played against Lewis, including a victory the last time the two played in Romeoville.
