KENOSHA, WIS. – The Parkside volleyball team had three student-athletes named to the Hampton Inn Invitational All-Tournament Team.
Sam Fisch,
Natalie Harris, and
Ava Irvin all picked up the honor after leading the Rangers to a perfect 4-0 weekend.
Sam Fisch:
Junior right side hitter
Sam Fisch put up impressive numbers at the Invitational, contributing significantly in both offense and defense. Fisch tallied 56 kills across four matches, averaging 3.29 kills per set. She demonstrated remarkable efficiency with a .285 hitting percentage, providing a consistent offensive threat for the Rangers. Beyond her attacking prowess, Fisch added 13 digs and 14 total blocks, showcasing her all-around capabilities. Highlighting her weekend, Fisch recorded 26 kills against Missouri S&T, tying her career high. That performance also ranks her 10th in the nation this season for kills in a five-set match.
Natalie Harris:
Libero
Natalie Harris continued to demonstrate her prowess in the back row, earning recognition as a defensive specialist. Over the four matches, Harris recorded a total of 99 digs, averaging 5.82 digs per set. She also contributed from the service line with 4 aces and added 14 assists. Highlighting her tournament, Harris posted a career-high 34 digs against Missouri S&T, a mark that ranks 7th in the nation this season for most digs in a five-set match.
Ava Irvin:
Outside hitter
Ava Irvin earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team thanks to her stellar play on both sides of the ball. Irvin posted 67 kills in four matches, averaging an impressive 3.94 kills per set. She also added 35 digs and 15 blocks, showing her ability to impact the game beyond her attacking. Highlighting her weekend, Irvin recorded two double-doubles, coming against Winona State and Missouri S&T.
The Rangers return to action Thursday, September 18, for their GLIAC home opener against Roosevelt. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 PM in De Simone Arena, as Parkside looks to carry the momentum from the Hampton Inn Invitational into conference play.
