Letter from the AD: 2024-25 Year in Review

Dear Ranger Family,

As I reflect on year two serving as your Director of Athletics, I remain grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such a dedicated athletic community. It is our people—our student-athletes, coaches, staff, and supporters like you—who continue to make Parkside Athletics what it is today.

This past year brought meaningful progress. Through your generosity and unwavering support, combined with an incredible team of professionals and our broader community, we achieved unprecedented milestones:

  • Record-breaking revenue: We secured the highest annual sponsorship revenue total in Parkside Athletics history.
  • Historic philanthropy: We received the largest single philanthropic gift ever to Athletics from supporter Omair Ahmed.
  • Growing partnerships: We welcomed new Community Champion supporters, including Lynch Chevrolet of Kenosha as our presenting sponsor of the Rangers.

Our student-athletes continue to excel where it matters most—in the classroom. This spring, our department achieved a 3.41 GPA, with 82% of our student-athletes earning above a 3.0 GPA. These achievements underscore their unwavering commitment to excellence both on the field and in their studies.

In competition, eight student-athletes competed at the NCAA Championships, including Aj Powell from our women's golf program, who has now competed at the NCAA Championships in each of our first two years with the program. Additionally, six student-athletes earned NCAA All-American honors—a testament to the championship caliber of our Rangers.

This fall, our over 300 student-athletes will return to campus with newly renovated locker rooms—their first major upgrade in almost 25 years. It's these investments in our student-athletes' experience that demonstrate our commitment to their success.

As we enter year three, we're focused on strategic growth through the implementation of our first-ever Parkside Athletics Strategic Plan. Our vision is clear: to set a championship standard in the classroom, in competition, and in our community. This plan positions Parkside Athletics for sustained, long-term success.

To our fans, alumni, and supporters—thank you. Your energy, encouragement, and belief doesn't just fund a program. It fuels dreams. It creates champions on the competition grounds, in the classroom, and in our community.

The momentum is building. The time is now. Elevate Parkside Athletics. Let's keep building this together.

Sincerely,

Adam Schemm '08
