KENOSHA, Wis. — Parkside Athletics is proud to announce the induction of seven individuals and one historic team into the Parkside Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2025. The induction ceremony will take place on Friday, October 4, inside De Simone Arena. Ticket information for the event will be announced in the coming weeks.

The 2025 Hall of Fame class celebrates a legacy of excellence across wrestling, baseball, softball, women's basketball, men's soccer, and service to the university. These honorees have made lasting impacts on Parkside Athletics through competitive success, leadership, and dedication to their teams and the Ranger community.

The 2009-2010 Parkside Wrestling Team earns its place in the Hall of Fame as one of the most accomplished teams in program history. The team finished fifth at the NCAA Division II National Championships, the second-best finish in school history, and was ranked as high as fourth in the nation. That season included a sixth-place finish at the NWCA National Duals, a Super Regional runner-up finish with five individual champions and seven national qualifiers, as well as team titles at both the Midwest Classic and the Wheaton Invitational.

Luke Rynish, who competed in wrestling from 2009 to 2012, became one of the program's most decorated athletes. He was a three-time NCAA Division II finalist and three-time All-American, becoming
one of only four wrestlers in Parkside history to reach the national finals three times.

Dillon Bera, another standout wrestler from 2010 to 2013, became the first four-time NCAA All-American in Parkside history. A national finalist and two-time team captain, Bera compiled over 100 career victories and was a two-time Academic All-American. He was honored as the 2013 Parkside Male Career Achievement Award winner.

Casey Garms, a star on the baseball team from 2003 to 2007, earned GLVC Freshman of the Year honors in 2004 and was named to the All-Conference and All-Region First Teams in the same year. Garms holds the program records for most career runs scored (174), hits (271), and doubles (55). He also ranks in the top ten in career batting average with a mark of .337. His all-around consistency and production at the plate made him one of the most impactful hitters in Parkside Baseball history.

Heather (Bogenschneider) Toscano played women's basketball from 1994 to 1998 and was a three-time All-Conference selection and team captain. At the time of her graduation, she ranked second in program history in scoring with 1,293 points. She now sits eighth in program history in total points and is one of 19 players to surpass the 1000 point mark. She surpassed the 500-rebound mark, is sixth in program history with 175 career steals and is fifth in program history with 596 career field goals made.

Meloney (Strohbusch) Thorman made her mark on Parkside Softball between 2001 and 2006. A two-time All-Region First Team selection and a 2004 All-American Second Team honoree, she ranks third in program history with 34 career home runs. She played a key role in leading Parkside to a 2003 GLVC runner-up finish and posted some of the most prolific single-season offensive numbers in program history, including 124 career RBIs and a .699 slugging percentage in 2005.

Oscar Toscano, who competed for men's soccer from 1988 to 1992, was named an All-Midwest Player and finished third in the nation in assists during his senior season. A four-year starter, Toscano's contributions helped elevate the program nationally. He was also the recipient of the 2021 Parkside Hispanic Leadership Award.

Gary Smith will be inducted as an honorary member of the Hall of Fame. A 1994 graduate of Parkside, Smith has served as the public address announcer for Parkside Basketball for more than 30 years, starting during his time as a student. He also served as vice president of the UW-Parkside Alumni Association from 2008 to 2014 and has been a passionate supporter of Parkside Athletics for decades.

The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Friday, October 4, 2025, in De Simone Arena. Parkside Athletics will share more details and ticket information on ParksideRangers.com.
