Parkside Rallies for Massive 20–2 Victory over Viterbo

KENOSHA, Wis. – Parkside rallied for 16 runs in the sixth inning en route to their big victory over Viterbo on Wednesday afternoon. Parkside posted 20 runs for the second time this season and earned their 26th victory.

How it happened:
Nathan Ciemny set the tone, working five innings and allowing just four hits and two runs (one earned). He struck out two while issuing three walks, escaping trouble in the third by retiring ten of the next eleven batters. Parker Swanson and Andrew Halser each followed with a clean inning to seal the win.

Parkside's bats came alive early. In the bottom of the second, the Rangers manufactured three runs on four hits: Max Johnson's infield single sparked the rally, Jacob York brought him home on a groundout, Nathan Hanel added an RBI single, and Koto Sato's fielder's choice plated the third run before Peter Fusek capped the frame with an RBI single to make it 3–0.

A solo homer by Hanel in the fourth pushed the lead to 4–2, but the real fireworks arrived in the sixth.

Parkside sent 12 batters to the plate and scored 16 runs on eight hits, capitalizing on two walks, a hit‑batsman and three Viterbo errors. Austin Drayna's two‑run double got the party started, followed by run‑scoring singles from Max Johnson and Andrew Mack. An errant throw and another Mack RBI walk set the stage for Camden Kearney's first home run of the season—a crushing grand slam that cleared the left‑field wall and extended the advantage to 18–2. Koto Sato later added an RBI single and an unearned run scored on a wild pitch to cap the outburst.

In total, 13 different Rangers collected hits. Hanel finished with two hits, two runs and four RBIs; Sato went 3‑for‑4 with three RBIs; Fusek and Drayna each recorded multi‑hit games; and Kearney's Grand Slam was the highlight of a 17‑hit attack.

Defensively, Parkside helped its cause by turning three double plays and committing just two errors. Parkside improved to 26-15 on the season after getting back into the win column.
