KENOSHA, Wis. – The Parkside softball team has a big weekend ahead of them. The Rangers will host two GLIAC doubleheaders, hosting Saginaw Valley State on Friday and Wayne State on Saturday. Coverage can be accessed at ParksideRangers.com/coverage.

The Rangers
Parkside is coming off a midweek split with Roosevelt and now sit at 13-11 overall and 4-2 in GLIAC play. The Rangers offense dominated game one, plating 15 runs in just five innings. Mia Johnson, Toni Rodriguez, and Haley Remington would all hit home runs in the 2nd inning to help the Rangers to the 15-4 victory.

Saginaw Valley State

The Cardinals enter the weekend with a 16-8 overall record and 3-1 in conference play. They took on Wayne State in midweek action on Wednesday, splitting the day much like the Rangers. SVSU would handle business in game one, winning 13-1. They would then drop game two 8-3.

Lillia Sherman is the Cardinals leading bat. She has a team leading .367 batting average. Teammate Mya Purdy has been the top run producer for SVSU, having driven in a team leading 16 runs. As a team the Cardinals have hit 19 home runs on the year and driven in 115 runs.

Macy Irelan has been the number one arm for the Cardinals this season. She's thrown a team leading 69.2 innings pitched and is the reigning GLIAC pitcher of the week. She has a GLIAC leading 109 strikeouts on the year so far. Her 1.21 ERA is good enough for second best in the GLIAC.

Wayne State
The Warriors enter the weekend with a 13-16 overall record and 2-4 in conference play.  Wayne State is coming of a midweek split with SVSU, taking game two 8-3 over the Cardinals.
