KENOSHA, Wis. – The Parkside softball program is set to host Roosevelt on Wednesday for midweek conference action. The Rangers
Parkside enters the week after a solid start to conference play to move their overall record above .500 at 12-10. The Rangers are off to a 3-1 start in GLAIC play after splitting the conference opening doubleheader with PNW and sweeping the Grand Valley State Lakers.
Mia Johnson is coming off a phenomenal week. Her play earned her national recognition as she was selected as NFCA Louisville Slugger National Player of the week. Across her four games played, Johnson clubbed five homeruns, drove in 11 runs, and record a total of nine extra base hits all while batting .600 on the week. Her batting average moved to a team leading .368 on the season with a 1.311 OPS.
Roosevelt
The Lakers enter the weekend with an 8-14 overall record and a 2-2 record in GLIAC play. The Lakers picked up their two conference wins with a sweep of PNW at home in 4-2 and 5-1 score lines.
Ella Dvoracek leads the Lakers offense. She enters the week with a team leading .397 batting average. She has 2 home runs on the season so far. Teammate Brynn Dvoracek has been the Lakers top run producer, having driven in a total of 19 runs.
In the circle the Lakers look to Riley Czarnecki. She holds an 8-1 on the season while having thrown 63.2 innings of work. She's struck out 37 batters this year and has yet to have conceded a home run.
