KENOSHA, Wis. – The Midwest's best battled brisk winds and rolling hills Saturday morning as UW-Parkside hosted the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Cross Country Championships at Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course. The meet featured over 30 teams from across the region, all competing for a spot at the upcoming 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships.
The Rangers finished ninth as a team with 283 points in the women's 6K championship race. Grand Valley State captured the team title with 25 points, followed by Cedarville (87) and Lewis (90).
Parkside was once again led by standouts, Johanna Ebert and Abbi Steiner, who both earned individual medals for their performances. Ebert led the way with a 14th-place finish in 21:28.0, while Steiner crossed the line 24th in 21:48.4. Following Ebert and Steiner were Madison Perez (22:44.8, 63rd), Alyson Moore (22:59.1, 78th), and Josie Kooima (23:24.9, 104th).
Parkside will now wait to see if any individuals earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Championships, which will be held on November 22 in Kenosha at Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course.
