Jordan Blanchard has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Wrestler of the Week following a dominant, title-winning performance at the 2025 Findlay Open, where he powered through the 197-pound bracket.
Blanchard, a redshirt senior from Coleman, Wis., was in complete control throughout the tournament, finishing each of his five bouts by fall and never allowing a match to reach a full seven minutes.
He opened the day with a decisive 40-second fall over Gabriel Enoch (Tiffin) before adding another fall against Ashland's Gavin Gaylor at 2:08. Blanchard's most notable win came in the quarterfinals, where he took down No. 4-ranked Brayden Mirjavadi of Grand Valley State at the 6:29 mark, continuing to build momentum through the bracket.
In the semifinals, Blanchard continued his dominance with a 2:40 fall over McKendree's Casey Olszowka. He then closed out the tournament with his fastest fall of the day—just 44 seconds—against Belmont Abbey's Caleb Moore to secure the 197-pound championship.
Blanchard's commanding performance not only earned him the tournament title but also propelled him to NSIC Wrestler of the Week honors.
The Rangers will return to action December 5
th, when they open NSIC conference play against SMSU in De Simone Arena.
