Rangers Hit the Road for Final Weekend of GLIAC Play

KENOSHA, Wis. — Parkside Volleyball is set to close out the regular season on the road this weekend, traveling to face Davenport University and No. 20 Ferris State in the final week of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action. The Rangers currently sit fifth in the conference standings as they look to finish strong heading into postseason play.

Parkside enters the weekend with an impressive 18-6 overall record and a 9-5 mark in GLIAC competition. The Rangers have been one of the most well-rounded teams in the conference, excelling in multiple statistical categories. Parkside leads the GLIAC in service aces with 180, showcasing their dominance from the service line, and they also pace the conference in assists per set at 12.89. Defensively, the Rangers rank second in both total blocks (204.5) and blocks per set (2.30). Individually, Natalie Harris continues to anchor the back row, leading the GLIAC in both total digs (473) and digs per set (5.31). Offensively, Sam Fisch has been a consistent force, ranking third in the conference in kills per set (3.43) and fourth in total kills (305).

Scouting Davenport:
Davenport enters the weekend with an 11-14 overall record and a 7-7 record in GLIAC play. The Panthers have proven to be one of the top defensive teams in the league, ranking second in both total team digs (1,597) and digs per set (17.94). Setter Madison Berry has been key in running the offense, ranking third in the conference with 9.83 assists per set and fourth in total assists with 826. Offensively, Abby Alan has been a focal point, leading the GLIAC in total attacks and ranking eighth overall in total kills with 283. Historically, the Rangers are 6-11 all-time against the Panthers but swept Davenport 3-0 earlier this season in Kenosha.

Scouting Ferris State:
The Rangers will wrap up the regular season against nationally ranked No. 20 Ferris State. The Bulldogs enter the weekend with a 20-6 overall record and a 12-3 conference mark, sitting among the GLIAC's elite. Ferris State leads the conference in total team digs (1,672) and digs per set (18.17), while also topping the league in total kills (1,268) and kills per set (13.78). Offensively, Gabby Piazza ranks second in the GLIAC in both total kills (342) and kills per set (3.72). Setter Hayley Wegener has also been a standout, sitting second in assists per set (10.00) and third in total assists (920). Parkside is 2-16 all-time against Ferris State, with the Bulldogs earning a 3-0 victory in their previous meeting this season.
