KENOSHA, Wis. — Parkside women's soccer opens the GLIAC Tournament at home on Tuesday, Nov. 11, hosting No. 7 seed Purdue Northwest at noon at Wood Road Field. The No. 2–seeded Rangers completed their best regular season since 2016 at 9-7-2 overall and 9-4-1 in league play, clinching the highest seed in program history and the first home GLIAC Tournament match since joining the conference in 2018.

Purdue Northwest at Parkside
12 p.m. CT | Wood Road Field | Kenosha, Wis.
Picked eighth in the preseason coaches poll, Parkside surged into the top two on the strength of a second-half scoring renaissance. The Rangers have nearly tripled last year's goal total, entering the postseason with 27 goals (third in the GLIAC, 1.5 per match). Sophomore Ava Rizzitano leads the team with six goals, tied for fourth in the conference, while Emily Mikkelson sits tied for second in assists with seven and has added four goals. Both stand at 15 points, tied for fifth in the league. Senior goalkeeper Tristen Cross leads Parkside with 59 saves and three shutouts. The Rangers are 3-2 in their last five and are coming off a 3-1 win over Davenport in which all three goals came after halftime.
SCOUTING PURDUE NORTHWEST:
The Pride enter as the No. 7 seed at 6-10-2 overall and 4-10-0 in GLIAC play, snapping a five-match skid with a 2-0 win at Michigan Tech on Saturday. A victory Tuesday would tie their single-season wins record. PNW has already matched its program best for conference wins (four). All-time in the GLIAC Tournament, the Pride are 0-4 and have been outscored 16-1. Offensively, Mia Davis drives production with eight goals (third in GLIAC), three game-winners, and 17 points (third), and she ranks second in the league with 26 shots on goal. She is the only multi-goal scorer for the Pride this season. In goal, Meta Ficsher has started the last four matches and allowed six goals (1-5-1 this season). Poppy Jackson has carried most of the minutes with a 5-2-5 record in 14 appearances; her five shutouts are tied for second in the conference. As a team, PNW has scored 17 goals in 19 matches (third fewest in the GLIAC) and attempted the second-fewest shots.
This is the first postseason meeting between the programs. Parkside swept the regular-season series, winning 2-1 in Hammond on Sept. 28 — a milestone victory that marked head coach Britnay Nikolic's 100th career win — and posting a 3-0 home shutout on Oct. 12 for the Rangers' first clean sheet of the year. All-time, Parkside is 10-2-2 against PNW and unbeaten at home at 5-0-2.
