KENOSHA, Wis. — Parkside Volleyball closed out its 2025 regular season home schedule in style on Saturday afternoon, sweeping Northern Michigan (25-16, 27-25, 25-16) inside De Simone Arena. The win marked the Rangers' sixth straight victory and their first-ever sweep of the Wildcats in Kenosha.
With the win, Parkside improves to 16-6 overall and 7-5 in GLIAC play, finishing the home portion of the regular season with an impressive 11-1 record at De Simone Arena.
The Rangers were sharp from the start, racing out to a 25-16 opening-set win behind three service aces from senior setter Lilly Ray. Ray's early serving run sparked Parkside's momentum and helped the Rangers take control of the match.
The second set proved to be the tightest of the day, as the two teams battled through 10 ties and six lead changes. Parkside eventually prevailed, 27-25, behind clutch hitting from
Ava Irvin, who was nearly unstoppable at the net. The Rangers then closed the door in dominant fashion, rolling through the third set 25-16 to complete the sweep.
Offensively, Parkside posted its best hitting performance of the season with a .357 team percentage. Irvin led the way with 15 kills on a blistering .600 hitting clip, while
Avary Polavin and
Sam Fisch added 12 and 9 kills, respectively. Ray finished with 22 assists and four aces, while
Lucy Russ added 16 assists and six digs.
Defensively,
Natalie Harris anchored the back row with a team-high 19 digs, and the front line contributed 12 total blocks, led by
Maia Olson's four block assists.
Parkside will now hit the road for the final four matches of the 2025 regular season. The Rangers will be back in action on November 6
