KENOSHA, Wis. — The Parkside Rangers are set to return to De Simone Arena this weekend for a pair of pivotal GLIAC matchups. Now entering the fifth week of conference play, the Rangers currently sit eighth in the standings and will host Lake Superior State on Friday and Saginaw Valley State on Saturday.

Parkside, 12-6 overall and 3-5 in GLIAC play, will look to build momentum after a competitive showing at the Midwest Crossover. The Rangers have been one of the conference's top statistical teams this season, ranking first in total blocks at 154.5, first in total assists with 866, and second in assists per set at 12.55. Scouting Lake Superior State:
Friday's opponent, Lake Superior State, enters the weekend looking to snap a losing streak and climb out of the lower half of the standings. Elisa Rizzoli leads the Lakers with 89 kills, while Gia Waters anchors the defense with a team-high 124 digs. Overall, the Rangers hold a 9-5 all-time advantage over the Lakers, including a 3-0 sweep the last time the two teams met.
Scouting Saginaw Valley State:
On Saturday, Parkside faces Saginaw Valley State, a team battling for position in the middle of the GLIAC standings. The Cardinals lead the conference in total service aces with 138 on the year, showcasing their strength from the service line. Rachel Townsend leads the team in both kills with 220 and digs with 185, while Jackie Scheiber has been a steady presence at setter with a team-leading 614 assists. Overall, Parkside trails the all-time series 6-7 but earned a thrilling five-set victory over the Cardinals last season.
