KENOSHA, Wis. – Parkside Wrestling is pleased to announce the establishment of the Parkside Wrestling Scholarship Fund, made possible by a significant lead gift of $25,000 from Parkside Wrestling alumnus Timothy Whiting '91.
 
"I am extremely appreciative of Tim and his generous gift towards scholarships for Parkside Wrestling," remarked Head Wrestling Coach Nick Becker. "He is pioneering our effort to enhance our program with additional scholarships and his generosity will have an impact on our student-athletes for years to come. Thank you, Tim, for your continued support of Parkside Wrestling."
 
Whiting, a 1991 Parkside alum and former member of the wrestling team, was very successful during his collegiate career. He was recognized as a three-time Academic All-American and earned All-American honors in 1991, placing sixth in the 150lb weight class at the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships.
 
"We are truly grateful for the gift from Tim that will have a direct impact on our wrestling student-athletes," said Director of Athletics Adam Schemm '08. "With this as the lead gift and the establishment of the Parkside Wrestling Scholarship Fund, we can continue to work to enhance our wrestling program and compete further on a national level."
 
The Parkside Wrestling Scholarship Fund will serve as a resource to support the growth and development of Parkside Wrestling and its student-athletes. It will contribute to the continuation and enhancement of the program's longstanding history of success.
