KENOSHA, Wis. -- With the postseason looming around the Rangers softball team is preparing to round out their final two regular season games this weekend. The Rangers are set to host Davenport on Friday in doubleheader action. First pitch of game one is set for 1 p.m. CDT. The Rangers will then play their final regular season games in a doubleheader against Grand Valley State in Allendale. First pitch of the GLIAC match up is set for 2:30 p.m. EDT. The Rangers
Parkside is coming off a strong week of play. The Rangers went 4-2 over the six game span, including a sweep over Davenport. The GLIAC honored
Mia Johnson as the Softball Player of the Week. Johnson was incredible at the plate, hitting four home runs across the six game span. She is currently leading the Rangers in batting average this year, swinging a .385 across all 45 Ranger contests this season. She currently is second in the GLIAC for home runs on the year with seven, and in the top five for batting average.Â
Davenport
The Panthers will rematch with the Rangers after facing off just over a week ago. Read more about the previous match up between the two sides
here. DU sits at 14-28 overall and 6-14 in conference play.Â
Leading the way offensively for Davenport is graduate student Hayler Kreiger. Kreiger leads the team in batting average at .352 and has accounted for 45 hits, including a team leading five home runs.Â
On the defensive side the Panthers have the one, two combo of Hailey Whisman and Cecelia Bell. Between the two pitchers they have thrown 17 complete games, struck out 100 batters and have won 12 contests.Â
Grand Valley State
The Lakers and the Rangers face off again just 11 days after the match up in Kenosha. It was a split between the two sides. Read more about the games

Hannah Holister is still leading the Lakers in the batting average at .380. She's collected 52 hits and has scored 45 runs. Teammate Kelsey Komorous leads the conference in RBIs with 51.
GVSU has a extremely strong pitching staff. Ashley Platek is the most impressive with a team leading ERA of 1.74. Senior teammate Genesis Eggert has been the strike out specialist for the Lakers, sitting down a team high 77 batters.Â
