How it happened:
Michigan Tech had control from the get-go and put together two efficient halves of basketball. They jumped out to a seven-point lead in the first several minutes of the game. However, Parkside clawed back and cut into the deficit. Colin O'Rourke has been Parkside's most consistent offensive threat, and once again delivered a solid performance for the Rangers. O'Rourke hit his first triple early in the first half and got himself going.
Michigan Tech led as much as 13 points in the first half and took a nine-point advantage into the halftime break. Despite nifty shots from Josiah Palmer and Nick Brown, Parkside was outscored 38-25 in the second half.
For the third straight time, Michigan Tech defeated Parkside since the GLAIC Tournament from a season ago. As it stands today, Parkside sits in a tie for fifth place with Saginaw Valley State at 6-7 in conference play. They remain just a game out of the fourth place spot, and two games behind third place with five games to play.
