KENOSHA, Wis. - The Parkside men's basketball team returned to action on Saturday afternoon for their final contest of the 2024. The Rangers hosted the Flyers of Lewis University in a non-conference battle. Despite some late game heroics, the Rangers would fall to the Flyers 62-56.

How it Happened
The Rangers would get off to a slow start, not hitting their first shot until the 15:20 mark of the first half. It would be an uphill battle from there as the Rangers would be down 10-2 after hitting their first bucket. The Rangers would work to chip away at the Flyers lead finally taking it from Lewis at the 7:13 mark of the first half on clutch
Josiah Palmer three at 22-20. En route to taking the lead the Rangers would outscore the Flyers 22-10. Parkside remained in the drivers seat to close out the half in the lead 27-24.
The Rangers offense would hit a road block in the second half of action. They would shoot just 33.3% in the second half on 8-24 shooting. The second half would see five lead changes. Lewis would resume the lead at the 12:14 mark on a layup. From there the Flyers would go on a quick 8-0 run to lead 46-38. The Rangers would look to mount a comeback, trimming the lead to just three at 59-56 on another Palmer three pointer with just 15 seconds remaining. Parkside would have to resort to fouling as the Flyers would hit their free throws and force a Ranger turnover to seal the 62-56 victory.
