Rangers to Open Postseason Play at Davenport

KENOSHA, Wis. – The Parkside men's soccer team is now entering postseason play this weekend. The Rangers enter the GLIAC Tournament as the No. 5 seed and are slated to open the tournament at No. 4 Davenport. The two teams will face off on Sunday with kickoff slated for 2 p.m. EST.

The Rangers enter the match after finishing the regular season 6-6-4 and 4-5-3 in conference play. Paco Piscaglia leads the Rangers offense with five goals this season. Daniyal Rana has secured the starting goalkeeper position posting 56 saves and five shutouts entering postseason play.
 
SCOUTING DAVENPORT

The Panthers enter the postseason with an 8-6-4 overall record while going 5-4-3 in GLIAC play. The Rangers and Panthers squared off twice in the regular season with the Panthers getting the better of the Rangers. Davenport would tie Parkside in Kenosha, then pick up the 1-0 win in Michigan.
 
Davenport has a balanced offensive attack as 10 different Panthers have recorded goals this season. Leading the way is freshman Easton Lopez. Lopez has collected six goals in regular season play and has added an assist to total 13 points on the year. Teammate Cam Power leads the Panthers in assists this season with three.
 
On the defensive end the Panthers rely upon freshman goalkeeper Beau Hudd. Hudd has appeared in 15 matches for the Panthers. Along the way he has collected 62 saves while posting two clean sheets.
