Rangers Held Scoreless in Loss at SVSU

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. -- The Parkside men's soccer team returned to action on Sunday afternoon. The Rangers would be shutout by the Cardinals and fall 2-0.

  • Despite the lack of a Ranger goal, Parkside would outshoot SVSU 19-11 on the day.
  • Paco Piscaglia would lead the Rangers offensive charge with seven shots on the afternoon and putting three on frame. 

How it Happened
Both sides were held scoreless in the first half of action. The Rangers would fire off 11 of their 19 shots in the opening half of play, but none would get past the SVSU goalkeeper. 

The second half of action was all Cardinals as they woud tack two pivotal goals in the 65th and 81st minute of play. The Rangers would have their backs against the wall searching for an answer in the final eight minutes of action and would fall 2-0.
