ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Parkside Men's Track and Field team hit the road on Friday afternoon, competing at the GVSU Bill Clinger Classic, hosted by Grand Valley State University.
Brody Nyffenegger posted a top ten finish in the 60 meters, finishing eighth. He ran a personal best time of 7.00 in the preliminary round.
Tommy Martin was the top finisher for the Rangers in the 400 meters, finishing seventh with a time of 49.70.
Austin Depuydt finished fifth overall in the 800 meters. The junior's finish came in a time of 1:54.15.
Wil Kiley finished sixth in the 3000 meter open, finishing in a personal best time of 8:41.62.
The Parkside 4x400 meter relay team of Michael Cabaltera, Sean Waldvogel, Fischer Schneider and Tommy Martin finished third in a time of 3:21.80.
Ariel Molina recorded a personal best in the high jump, finishing eighth with a mark of 1.86m. Molina's jump wasn't just a personal best, it set a new indoor record in his home country of El Salvador.
Michael Hendrix finished ninth in the pole vault, recording a mark of 4.27m.
Parkside had two top ten finishers in the triple jump. Riley Williams finished sixth with a mark of 12.20m. Jack Lehocky finished eighth with a mark of 11.90m.
Kaelan McDonough recorded a top ten finish in the shot put, finishing eighth with a mark of 12.81m.
The Rangers will return to action, with the team competing at two meets. Some athletes will be competing in Kenosha on Friday and Saturday at the Todd Metzger Invite, while others will compete Friday at the Lewis Invitational at Gately Park.
