KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Rangers women's basketball team is set to travel south to Hammond, Ind. to take on the Purdue Northwest Pride on Saturday. The Rangers are coming off back to back 90 point displays in their last two victories over Wayne State, 95-59 and Benedictine, 99-49. Scouting Purdue Northwest
The Pride enter Saturday's game with an even 7-7 record overall and 2-2 in GLIAC play. Last week the Pride split their GLIAC games, narrowly losing to Wayne State 76-71 and defeating Saginaw Valley State 62-55.
On the season Purdue Northwest has been outscored by their opponents 901-860. Leading the way for the Pride is Dash Shaw, who is averaging 16.8 ppg. The senior guard has scored in double digits in all but one game for the Pride so far this season, including a 28 point performance against Tiffin. She also had a double double against Lake Superior State where she dropped 15 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. On the interior, the Pride are led by Mercedes Simmons. The 6-1 forward is a force inside, averaging 15.1 ppg while shooting 53.8% from the field. She's a big time rim protector for the Pride and already has recorded 40 blocks so far this season.

This will be the eleventh time the Rangers will face off against the Pride. The Pride have been winless in 10 attempts. The last time out resulted in a 87-75 victory for the Rangers in Kenosha.
