KENOSHA, Wis. ---  After scoring two game-winning goals in the season's opening week, Alejandro Martinez has been named the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (GLIAC) men's soccer player of the week.
 
Martinez scored two goals on seven shots in the opening two matches of the 2023 season while playing in all but 14 minutes of action.
 
Martinez's first goal of the season came in the 51^st minute against Quincy. He then drove home what proved to be the game-winner in the 31^st minute against Lewis.
 
The two goals helped to propel the No. 17 ranked Rangers to a 2-0 start for the second straight season.
 
The Rangers will return to action on Thursday afternoon in the home opener against the University of Illinois-Springfield. Opening kickoff is set for noon from Wood Road Field.
