ABOUT THE RANGERS

The Rangers currently ride a three-game win streak into the weekend. After consecutive four set wins over both Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan, the Rangers also handled Purdue Northwest on Tuesday in the same manner. Elle Truckenbrod has been the catalyst for the Rangers, she was named GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week. She compiled 43 kills within the homestand so far. Parkside's offense is anchored by Karlee Lois who has totaled 11 double-doubles on the season. Parkside is (6-1) at home and their (4-1) start in conference play is the best in the Leigh Barea era.

SCOUTING GRAND VALLEY STATE

It's fair to say GVSU has been around for a while. The program raised the first ever GLIAC championship back in 1973 and have won ten total in their long history. In the present day, the Lakers are off a (10-1) beginning to their season. The team is led by 2022  AVCA HM All-American, Jordyn Gates. She tallied 13 triple-doubles a season ago, earning herself 1st team All-GLIAC. Already, the junior has three on the season. After dropping their first GLIAC contest to Michigan Tech, the Lakers are on a four-game win streak. They have been an offensive powerhouse, leading the conference in kills per set (14.50), assists per set (13.22), and points per set (18.9). The team ranks 1st nationally in both hitting percentage (.315) and opponent hitting percentage (.068).

SCOUTING WAYNE STATE

The Wayne State Warriors enter the weekend at (4-9) with a (1-4) conference record. The team snapped a five-game losing skid with their win over Saginaw Valley State on Tuesday. Molly Miller leads the way with 159 kills which is third best in the conference. Kendyl Andrews has been the catalyst on the defensive side, ranking third in the conference with 197 digs. Parkside is historically (5-7) against Wayne State.
