NEW ORLEANS – The Parkside Rangers women's cross-country team is truly off and running in 2023. After a strong performance at the Lucian Rosa Invite, the Rangers find themselves ranked tenth in the Midwest Region week three poll by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
"Our women's team has been grinding day in and out," said Director of Track and Field & Cross Country
Nick Maas. "This ranking shows that hard work paying off. Lots of work still to do day by day!"
The Rangers return to the rankings for the first time since the 2016 season, where the Rangers were ranked as high as sixth. Parkside dominated the Lucian Rosa Invite, occupying nine of the top ten spots. The Rangers have been led by reigning GLIAC Runner of the Week
Katja Baeuerle. Who won the Lucian Rosa Invite last week.

Lexy Sams,
Ella Hansen,
Grace Mildice,
Ella Rondeau,
Madison Perez and
Sonja Mitrovic all placed in the top ten last week.

The Rangers will return to action for the final home meet of the 2023 season on Saturday afternoon. The Ranger Open will begin at 12:30pm from the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course.
