The Ranger's women's soccer team is set to kick off their 2023 campaign this upcoming Sunday as they will hit the road to take on the Lewis University Flyers. The match will be apart of doubleheader action. The women's match is set to take place at noon.

Parkside will look to build on progress they made in 2022 highlighted by upsetting #6 Grand Valley State at home 3-1. The Rangers had an impressive record at home last season, only dropping 3 matches. The Rangers rounded out the 2022 season with an exit in the GLIAC Quarterfinals. The program returns 18 players to the 2023 roster. 10 new Rangers have been added to the 2023 roster. Parkside returns top scorers Alexis Baker and Emily Mikkelson. The two combined for 13 goals of the 25 scored in the 2022 season. Defensively, Mia Guyton and Kelsey Gross return. The two goal keepers logged a combined 1,689 minutes and all 108 saves in 2022.
SCOUTING LEWIS
The Flyers were recently picked to finish in 6th place in the GLVC out of 14 total teams. Lewis returns Elisa Aguilar, whose 3 goals made her the 3rd best on the team for the 2022 season. Parkside has the all-time advantage over Lewis with an 11-5-3 all-time record. The two programs first played each other in 1997 and have played 19 times since. This will be the 20th matchup between the Rangers and the Flyers.
