Quincy, Ill. - The No.17 ranked Rangers opened their 2023 season with a bang, amassing 5 goals against Quincy this afternoon. The win moves the Rangers to 1-0 on the season and forces the Hawks to fall to 0-1.

• Five different Rangers scored in the match. Goals were scored by Paco Piscaglia '11, Jules Peycelon '30, Mike Howell '39, Alejandro Martinez '51, and Bryan Torres '70.

Piscaglia opened the Rangers's account for goals for the 2023 season. Edgar Heredia Victoria played the ball wide left for Piscaglia to finish from around 15 yards out just 11 minutes into the contest.

After Quincy tied the match in the 21st minute the Rangers were able to net two goals before the half, one by Peycelon in the 30th minute and another by Howell in the 39th minute. 

Martinez kept the momentum going coming out of the locker room, netting what proved to be the game winning goal in the 51st minute. Torres rounded out the goal fest by finishing a spilled ball by the Hawks keeper to make it 5-3.
