SCOUTING MICHIGAN TECH
The Huskies enter the GLIAC tournament as the No. 3 seed but were in the battle for the top seed up to the final regular season game. Their 1-0 loss to Northern Michigan meant the Wildcats would take the No. 1 seed in the tournament and the Huskies would slide down and take the No. 3 seed. Grand Valley State slid into the No. 2 seed with their win over Davenport in their final regular season match.
The Rangers have gone winless against the Huskies in the regular season. The first match was up in Houghton where the Rangers dropped a 1-0 decision to the Huskies. A Seulgi Lee free kick goal was the difference in the match. The second match was at home in Kenosha where the Rangers would drop a another close game in a 3-2 scoreline. Ranger goals in that match came from Uda Kimba and Madi Kasinowicz, both of them notching their first career goals.
The Rangers historically have a 4-8 record against the Huskies. The last time Parkside topped Michigan Tech was last season at home. The Rangers have only one victory in Houghton back in 2019.
