HOW IT HAPPENED
It took some time to see points on the board for the Rangers. At the 6:47 mark Sheridan Flauger drained the games first three pointer to give Parkside the early 3-1 lead. Flauger's three kick started a Ranger 14-3 run that would be capped off by a Cassidy Arni three pointer.

The first quarter of play was capped off by a brilliant one on one play by Paty Gallasova to get two more points. The Rangers would close out the first quarter with a 10-16 lead.

Parkside would open the second quarter of action on a 6-0 run thanks to a Kendal Zeiter layup and freethrow and a Gallasova three pointer. The lead would swell to 22-10 in favor of the Rangers. The Huskies would then combat the Rangers offense by putting together a run of their own. The Huskies would go on a 14-2 run nailing four three pointers in the run to tie the score a 24 with 4:35 remaining in the half.

Flauger would answer the run with a coast to coast left handed layup. The Rangers would use the momentum to build a 33-28 lead heading into the half.

After shooting 27.8% from the field in the first half the Huskies would turn around and shoot a stunning 57.7% in the second half, including going 70% from the field in the fourth quarter. The Huskies would take advantage of their hot hand and nail seven three pointers in the second half. St. Cloud State chipped away at the Parkside lead for all of the third quarter and would eventually take the lead in the at the 9:45 mark in the fourth quarter after a pair of made free throws. Despite a couple of lead changes the Huskies would remain in the drivers seat in the fourth quarter and grow their lead to as much as 11. The final score would end in favor of the Huskies 71-64.

The Rangers will return to action next weekend when they travel to Minnesota to take on Minnesota State University-Mankato. The Saturday afternoon tipoff is set for 2 p.m. CST. Coverage for the game can be found at parksiderangers.com/coverage
