ALLENDALE, Mich. — The Parkside volleyball team had their historic 2023 season come to a close on Saturday afternoon, falling in the GLIAC Semifinals to Ferris State 3-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Irvin had seven kills in the opening set. Parkside held the early lead, expanding their lead to 12-7 on a Lindsay Krznarich kill, forcing a Bulldog timeout. The Rangers kept the lead at five, forcing a second Ferris timeout at 22-17. However the Bulldogs were able to close the set on a 7-2 run to take it 26-24.
Ferris had control in the second set, hitting .448 as a team. The Bulldogs took set two 25-13.
Set three was closely contested, featuring seven ties and four lead changes. The two sides split the early points. Ferris was eventually able to build out a 15-10 lead forcing a Parkside timeout. The Rangers were able to pull back even at 20, but Ferris was able to grab the lead for good, taking set three 25-21.
The Rangers season comes to a close with their first ever appearance in the GLIAC Semifinals. Parkside ends the season with an overall record of 19-12. You can keep up with the team this off-season at ParksideRangers.com.
