ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Parkside volleyball team will play in their first ever GLIAC Tournament Semifinal on Saturday afternoon, taking on the number two seeded Ferris State Bulldogs.
Recent History
The Rangers and Bulldogs split the 2023 season series with both teams winning on their home floor. Ferris defeated Parkside 3-0 back on September 16 in Big Rapids. Parkside then returned the favor, defeating the then No. 16 ranked Bulldogs in five dramatic sets in De Simone Arena on October 27. Parkside took sets one three and five to pull off the upset, earning their first win over a ranked opponent under
Leigh Barea.
Scouting the Rangers
Following a 18-11 regular season, the Rangers earned the No. 3 seed in the GLIAC Tournament. Parkside hosted their first ever home GLIAC Tournament game on Wednesday night and did not disappoint. Parkside swept Davenport 3-0 in front of a ruckus De Simone crowd. Following the historic season,

Karlee Lois garnered All-GLIAC awards. Most notably, head coach
Leigh Barea was named the GLIAC Coach of the Year. Parkside is led offensively by Irvin, who currently has the 28
th most digs in all of Division II.
Natalie Harris leads the Parkside defense which led the league in total digs and digs per set this season. The Rangers are making their first-ever appearance in the GLIAC Semifinals.
Scouting the Bulldogs
Ferris State comes into the weekend 23-7 overall. The Bulldogs, who are making their 26th-straight league tournament appearance dating back to 1998, beat seventh-seeded Purdue Northwest 3-0 in Wednesday night's quarterfinal-round in Big Rapids to reach the semifinals. The Bulldogs are led by GLIAC Offensive Player of the Year Olivia Henneman Dallape. The junior has posted a team-best 403 total kills while averaging 3.77 kills per set for FSU. The Bulldogs are also led by GLIAC Setter of the Year Kaylee Maat. The junior recorded over 1000 assists this season and also produced 60 service aces, and 280 digs.

With a win on Saturday, the Rangers will play in their first-ever GLIAC Championship contest with a chance to earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. The championship game is set for 2:00pm (ET) from Allendale.
