KENOSHA, Wis. – The Parkside volleyball team will close out the home portion of the 2023 regular season schedule this weekend, taking on Ferris State on Friday and Saginaw Valley State on Saturday.

Scouting the Rangers
The Rangers are currently alone in 3
rd place in the GLIAC standings with just seven games to go. Parkside has won three straight, including a pair of four-set wins last weekend inside De Simone Arena. Following the conference weekend sweep, Parkside's own
Ava Irvin and
Natalie Harris were named GLIAC Players of the Week. Irvin was named the Offensive Player of the Week after a 42-kill weekend where she swung .326 and had ten total blocks. Irvin currently ranks third in the GLIAC in kills per set (3.57) Harris earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after recording 38 digs (4.75 per set). Harris anchors a Parkside defense that currently leads the GLIAC in digs per set at 16.54. Harris herself ranks third in the GLIAC in digs per set (4.20) Offensively Parkside ranks second in the GLIAC in kills per set 12.77.
Scouting the Bulldogs
Ferris State comes into the weekend 20-4 overall and 13-0 in GLIAC play and is ranked No. 16 in the most recent AVCA Coaches poll. They have won four in a row following a loss to now number three-ranked Missouri St. Louis. The Bulldogs lead the GLIAC this season in blocks per set (2.36) and total kills (1,071). Olivia Henneman-Dallape headlines a balanced Ferris State attack. In total five different players have recorded 134 or more kills this season, led by Henneman-Dappape with 292. Kaylee Maat is the top setter with 821 assists on the year. Maat has been strong at the service line as well, where she leads the GLIAC in service aces with 44.
Scouting the Cardinals
Saginaw Valley State comes into the weekend 3-19 overall and 0-11 in GLIAC play. The Cardinals have lost two in a row following a three-set win against Ursuline at the Midwest Region Crossover on October 14
th. The Cardinals are led offensively by Madison Thompson with 201 kills on the season. Defensively Kelsey Vittitow leads the team and ranks second in the GLIAC in digs per set (4.25). SVSU will play at home against Lake Superior State on Friday at 5:00pm (ET) before heading to Kenosha to play Parkside on Saturday.

Following the two matches this weekend the Rangers will hit the road for the final five games of the GLIAC regular season slate. The road trip begins on Tuesday night at Purdue Northwest. Opening serve is set for 7:00pm.
