Rangers Suffer First GLIAC Loss Of The Season 72-58

KENOSHA, Wis. --- The Parkside suffered their first loss of GLIAC play on Saturday night, as the Davenport Panthers were able to use an 18-3 run late in the first half to down the Rangers by a 72-58 final score. 
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
-       Rasheed Bello had a team-high 26 points on 9-18 shooting. He knocked down six threes. 
-       Colin O'Rourke recorded his first double-double on the season against Davenport. He pulled down a season-high ten rebounds and scored 14 points. 
-       Davenport shot a season-high 53.8% from the floor while knocking down ten threes. 
-       Parkside shot just 36.4% from the floor.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Parkside led for just over three and a half minutes of the first half. The Rangers grabbed the initial lead on a Bello layup, but Davenport took the lead back on a pair of free throws by  Chaz Birchfield.
 
Parkside answered, building their lead to as many as five on a Sanmi Fajana three from the top of the key, but Davenport was able to answer. The deciding run in the game started with 5:59 to go in the first half. A Marcedus Leech Jr. three gave the Panthers a 27-24 lead. That three started an 18-3 run for Davenport over 3:14, which gave the Panthers a 42-27 lead. Parkside scored just six points over the final 6:16 of the half. 
 
The Rangers were unable to get momentum going in the second half, only coming as close as 11 on a Nick Brown three. Davenport built their lead to as many as 21 as the Panthers handed Parkside their first loss of GLIAC play.
