KENOSHA, WIs. - The Parkside men's soccer team has been ranked 17th in the nation, United Soccer Coaches announced Tuesday. The Rangers moved up seven spots in this week's poll, improving from their #24 ranking last week. The Rangers also moved up to #2 in the region this week, passing Indianapolis in the polls.
The Rangers went 2-0 this week, defeating St. Cloud State 5-2 on Friday and Upper Iowa 4-1 on Sunday. The team improved to 5-1 on the year and is out to a 2-0 start in GLIAC play. Saginaw Valley State remains ahead of the Rangers in both polls, as sit in the top spot in the regional poll and at #9 in the national poll. The Cardinals defeat both Purdue Northwest and Davenport this weekend to move to 5-0-1 on the year.
Parkside hits the road this weekend for their first GLIAC road trip of the season. They will face Davenport on Friday, Sept. 16, and then travel to Purdue Northwest for a match on Sunday, Sept. 18. The Rangers return home on Sept. 25 to host Saginaw Valley State. For more information, visit
