Parkside 3, Michigan Tech 1
The Parkside women's soccer team hosted the Michigan Tech Huskies at Wood Road Field on Sunday. The weather was not ideal, as rain came crushing down on the pitch for the entire match. The Rangers used the adverse conditions to come away with a big conference win at home.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rangers got on the board early with a seventh minute goal from
Myah Strokosch.
Adrianna Rodriguez was credited with the assist. In the 15
th minute,
Alexis Baker found
Emily Mikkelson who scored to put the Rangers up 2-0. Baker added on to the Rangers lead with a goal in the 33
rd minute with the assist coming from Strokosch. The Huskies found their way on to the scoreboard in the 68
th minute with a goal from Stephanie Yeager on a free kick shot. Although the Huskies controlled possession for most of the second half, the Rangers defense stood strong and earned the victory.

"This was the response we were looking for after a disappointing performance Friday. We came out strong, dealt with the conditions and took control of the match early. I'm very pleased with how we implemented the things we talked about before the game. It's a big team win."
STATWORTHY
Baker earned her team-leading fifth goal of the season. Mikkelson earned her second career goal, while Strokosch earned her first of the year.
Mia Guyton was in goal for the Rangers, earning nine saves.
