#8 Grand Valley State 2, Parkside 1
The Parkside women's soccer team traveled to Allendale, Mich. for a match against the eighth ranked team in the country, the Grand Valley State Lakers. The Rangers battled the ranked team hard, but the Lakers found a way to steal victory from the jaws of defeat in the late minutes.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lakers got on the board early with a 19th minute goal from Ryann Fetty. The Rangers were able to bounce back in the 59
th minute with a goal from
Alexis Baker, coming off an assist from
Alair Posard and
Ariana Severo. The two teams looked to be heading to a draw, but the Lakers were able to find the back of the net in the 85
th minute on a goal by Kennedy Metzger. The Rangers got off one last shot attempt, but could not tie the game before time expired.
STATWORTHY
Baker earned her team-leading sixth goal of the season. Posard and Severo both earned their first assists of the season.
Mia Guyton was in goal for the Rangers, tallying an impressive 14 saves.
