The Parkside baseball team opened their series against the Northwood Timberwolves on Friday. The offense struggled to get going in the first game and stayed dormant for most of the second game. Pitching and defense held up for most of the doubleheader, but the Timberwolves were able to come away with the first two games of the series.

GAME 1 RECAP
After two scoreless innings, the Timberwolves were able to jump out to a 2-0 lead in the third. They went on to add six more runs in the fifth and one more run in the sixth inning. The Rangers were able to get on the board in the bottom of the sixth, when
Max Bruff homered to left field and scored
Hunter Weddel.
Kurt Mlachnik added to the Rangers total with an RBI single to score
Reece Homan.

Chris Conrad was handed the loss after throwing five complete innings and allowing eight earned runs.

GAME 2 RECAP
The Timberwolves scored three runs in the fourth, three in the sixth, and one more run in the seventh.
