SPRINGIELD, Ill. - The Parkside Rangers kicked off their second series of the season against the Illinois-Springfield Prairie Stars. The Rangers looked to pick up their first win of the year and start this series off on a positive note.
Caden Bronkhorst made his second start of the year on the mound for the Rangers, throwing 4.1 innings. After the Rangers got out to an early lead, the bats went cold and the Prairie Stars came away with the series opener.

A LOOK AT THE SCOREBOOK
The Rangers were held to just two hits on the day, with J. Heinzen going 1-4 with the lone run coming off his first career home run. C. Bronkhorst struck out four batters, while allowing only one earned run. Colton Hale threw 7.0 innings for the Prairie Fire allowing one run and fanning 13 Rangers. Matt Blaney came in from the bullpen in the 8
th inning and earned the win.
