HEAR FROM HEAD COACH Luke Reigel
"This is a great way to go into the holiday break.  We kept up our effort on the defensive end and were very efficient on the offensive.

It felt good to play Lewis again.  We had a lot of great battles against them back in our old league and of course, it always feels better after a win.

We are off to a very nice start this season.  Now we will enjoy some time with family and then we will get back after it after the break."

HOW IT HAPPENED
The two sides went back and forth over the opening minutes, with the Rangers grabbing a 12-9 lead on a Sanmi Fajana three-pointer from the wing. The offenses went stale over the next few minutes, with both teams struggling to find a rhythm. Parkside extended their lead to over one possession for the first time with 11:28 remaining in the half on a Jamir Simpson second-chance putback.

The big Parkside run came over time final 4:20 of the half. The Rangers went on a 7-2 run, powered by a Jacksun Hamilton dunk to give Parkside a 34-29 lead at the half. Bello led the Rangers with 11 first-half points. Simpson had eight on 4-7 shooting.

Lewis pulled the game back to even early in the second half with a run. Lewis eventually would take a 47-44 lead with 12:22 to go in the half before the Rangers answered. An 11-1 run over three minutes of game time gave Parkside a 61-54 lead with 4:48 to go in the game. Colin O'Rourke and Palmer hit threes during the run for the Rangers. Parkside never let Lewis crawl back into it, knocking down 8-9 free throws in the second half.
